- - Hardware and software requirements -
-
- IBM or compatible PC with 256K RAM
-
- Public Library/sa can be run from a hard or a floppy disk
- (For instructions see below.)
-
- DOS version 3.3 or later
- --------------------------------------------------------------------
- - Hard Disk Installation -
-
- In the following examples, the directory name MYREALM is used and
- the distribution disk is assumed to be in the A: drive. (If you are
- creating a new directory, you may name it anything you wish, but the
- name's length must not exceed eight characters.)
-
- Note: This program is installable from your A: or B: floppy disk
- drives, and it can be installed either to your hard disk or to
- another floppy disk.
-
- Option 1 - If you need to create a new directory.
-
- If you have no other My Little Realm programs, you must first create
- a new directory for Public Library. If you already have one or more
- MLR products on your hard disk, even if they are just evaluation
- versions, put Public Library in the same directory using the
- instructions in Option 2.
-
- ---------------------------------------------------------------
- Step | English directions | DOS commands
- ---------------------------------------------------------------
- 1 | go to root directory | CD\ <enter>
- 2 | make a new directory | MD MYREALM <enter>
- 3 | change to new directory | CD\MYREALM <enter>
- 4 | run installation program | A:INSTALL <enter>
- ---------------------------------------------------------------
-
- Option 2 - Using an existing directory.
-
- If you already have an MLR program on your hard disk, registered or

- ---------------------------------------------------------------
- 1 | change to existing directory | CD\MYREALM <enter>

- - Floppy Drive Installation -
-
- You can install your evaluation program to a floppy drive, as long
- as it isn't the same drive that contains the distribution disk.
- Assuming the distribution disk is in the A: drive, make the B:
- drive your current drive and execute the install program like so:

- ---------------------------------------------------------------
- Step | English directions | DOS commands
- ---------------------------------------------------------------
- 1 | make floppy drive current drive | B: <enter>
